The Chalet was a large building in the mountains of Colorado, the heart of the complex of buildings which formed the home base of Project Noah. From the outside, it looked like a three-story sporting lodge.
The Chalet was originally a retreat for highly-paid corporate and government employees, until it fell into disuse. Mark Cole arranged for its acquisition and renovation by the U.S. Army Division of Special Weapons. He had the building dismantled piece by piece, then the underground levels and power plant built. Once the underground work was completed, the exterior was rebuilt to look nearly identical to the original building. The interior, however, was rebuilt like a modern office building.
